The password specified to encrypt a file is the key that the system needs to decrypt it. Should you lose the password, the Supervisor Password acts as a back-up or last resort to decrypt the file. If you lose both of them, there will be no way to recover your encrypted file. It is the user's responsibility to safe guard all related passwords.
In order not to impact the operation of the system, it is strongly recommended that the user should not encrypt any files in the following system folders:
1.C:\WINDOWS
2.C:\Program Files
3.egis™ product folder
Failure to do so may cause un-predictable system errors, or in the worst case, that the entire Windows/XP system needs to be re-installed. |
