after you sign your code, if it is tampered with in any way, the

To
apply for a Code Signing Digital ID, please complete
the steps (i) to (v) prior
to online enrollment.

(i) |
Please
identify the type of
Code Signing Digital
ID
stated below on this web page to be
acquired for.
|

(ii) |
Download
an application form,
which is also listed on the
right hand
side of this web page, fill and fax to HiTRUST at (852) 2619-1480
for
an
initial customer registration.

(iii) |
HiTRUST
will verify the information on your
application form, issue invoice to you and grant you a valid token
number after
the settlement of payment in the coming days.

|
(iv) |
Before
conducting online enrollment, please make sure you have:
a. obtained a valid token number
from
HiTRUST
b. generated the CSR
(Certificate
Signing Request) file of your server, if you are applying Java Signing Digital ID
|

(v) |
To generate the CSR,
please click Digital
ID Instructions,
which is also shown on the right hand side
of this web page to
download
appropriate development kits/signing tools and generate CSR files. It
has to be done before going to online
enrollment.

When
you comes to Step 5 “Enter Payment
Information” page of the online enrollment, just click on the
token box and
then paste the token number provided by HiTRUST.

On
completion of the online enrollment by
clicking the “Accept
and Purchase”,
you
will be asked to generate a
private key and stored as a *.pvk file for Microsoft Authenticode Code Signing Digital
ID
Note: Please
store a copy of the private key in a secure place with password
protection. It
is for emergency, such a
system crash etc.

Print
and keep your online order confirmation.
Note: Your order
number, common
name (the enrolled Company Name) and the coming serial number on your
Digital
ID are major identifications of your Digital ID for future reference.

support team will contact you by email in the coming days for further
verification before issuing your Digital ID

your Authenticode code signing certificate.

Sun Java Signing Digital ID
Used with the Signing tools part of the Sun Java SDK, this certificate
is used for generating digital signatures for Java Archive (JAR) files:
Java applets, midlets and other Java applications that may be deployed
stand-alone or in the IE or Netscape browsers.
Note: Minimum Version Requirement: Please see the following Sun Alert
for minimum version requirements for the Sun Java SDK (Software
Developer Kit) and JRE (Java Runtime Environment).
