Taiwanese Government Backs Veri-id in AI Pilot Program

Veri-id, a risk detection system developed by our company, stood out from 70 competitors and was selected into the AI Pilot Promotion Program for its practical use in solving fraud-related problems. The judges also recognized Veri-id in terms of technology and future development prospects.

From the earlier days of design and development, our product team has had big plans for Veri-id - to deliver the most trusted risk detection service to the payments and e-commerce industries. In late 2023, after much hard work tailoring our solution to the complex and ever-evolving digital environment, Veri-id was granted a patent for one of its key components.

Recognized by the Government of Taiwan, our DiiA (Digital Identity Identification Authentication) serves as the heart of Veri-id. It helps financial institutions and e-commerce platforms collect and identify specific devices and their relative users, ensuring they are genuine customers conducting safe online transactions. By collecting and analyzing almost 100 device information attributes, the DiiA also supports our AI models in learning and generating suggestions for future risk detection.

This patent was and is a significant milestone for Veri-id and HiTRUST, driving us forward in our continuous effort and dedication toward facilitating a safer and more seamless online payment journey.

In 2023, our colleagues successfully participated in the first-ever Digital Sandbox-Themed Technology Demonstration Innovation hosted by FinTech Space with "Veri-id Real-time Risk Detection System." After over four months of going through the preliminary rounds, one-on-one, corporate match-making, and the Final selection, HiTRUST proudly stood out from the 60 competing innovators to win the Financial Co-creation Enterprise Group Selection and Corporate Awards and was boastfully crowned the Double Champion of the Sandbox Competition.
